What the Senate was voting on
The Senate voted on whether to set aside budget rules for S.Amdt. 5514, which proposed funding for the HOME Investment Partnerships program. S. 2 would provide $70 billion through FY2029 to DHS, CBP, and ICE for immigration enforcement, border security, and related activities. The motion failed, falling 14 votes short of the 60 needed.
