Senate adopts the budget resolution for fiscal 2026
On the Concurrent Resolution S.Con.Res. 33
APR 23, 2026 · 3:22 AM ET
Party-line vote, except 2 Republicans who crossed. Exactly the 50 needed, with none to spare.
A simple or concurrent resolution is not a law. It is never sent to the President and does not bind agencies or the public. It can still set a chamber's own rules or, for a budget resolution, Congress's internal spending and revenue limits.
