Mark E. Green
Mark E. Green represented Tennessee’s 7th district in the U.S. House from 2019 until resigning on July 20, 2025. Succeeded by Matt Van Epps.
A physician and retired U.S. Army surgeon, Green served in the Tennessee Senate from 2013 to 2018.
Green earned a bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy in 1986, a master’s degree from the University of Southern California in 1987, and a medical degree from Boonshoft School of Medicine in 1999. Green served as an Army infantry officer and flight surgeon, including tours in Afghanistan and Iraq, and retired from the military in 2006. Green later led a hospital emergency department staffing company. In 2017, Green withdrew from consideration for secretary of the Army. Green served in the Tennessee Senate from 2013 to 2018, then won election to the U.S. House in 2018 and served from 2019 until resigning in 2025.Source: Wikipedia · CC BY-SA 4.0
