Cramer chaired the state party from 1991 to 1993, served as state tourism director from 1993 to 1997 and economic development director from 1997 to 2000, and served on the Public Service Commission from 2003 to 2012.
Cramer earned a Bachelor of Arts from Concordia College in 1983 and a Master of Arts from the University of Mary in 2003. Cramer chaired the state party from 1991 to 1993, served as state tourism director from 1993 to 1997 and economic development director from 1997 to 2000, and served on the Public Service Commission from 2003 to 2012. After winning election to the U.S. House in 2012, Cramer represented North Dakota’s at-large district from 2013 to 2019.
