Secretary Rollins Announces the Creation of the USDA Office of Seafood

Dan Sullivan has represented Alaska in the U.S. Senate since 2015. Chair of two Senate subcommittees: Readiness and Management Support; and Coast Guard, Maritime, and Fisheries.
An attorney and Marine Corps veteran, Sullivan served as Alaska attorney general from 2009 to 2010 and commissioner of the Alaska Department of Natural Resources from 2010 to 2013.
Sullivan earned a bachelor’s degree from Harvard College in 1987 and joint law and foreign service degrees from Georgetown University in 1993. Sullivan served on active duty in the Marine Corps during 1993–1997, 2004–2006, and 2009 and 2013. From 1997 to 1999, Sullivan clerked for judges on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Alaska Supreme Court, then practiced law in Anchorage from 2000 to 2002. Sullivan worked with the National Economic Council and National Security Council and served as assistant secretary of state for economic and business affairs from 2006 to 2009. Sullivan served as Alaska attorney general from 2009 to 2010 and natural resources commissioner from 2010 to 2013.
