Cortez Masto worked as a civil attorney in Las Vegas and then as a prosecutor for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C. Elected Nevada attorney general in 2006, Cortez Masto served from 2007 to 2015. Cortez Masto won election to the U.S. Senate in 2016 and took office in 2017, winning reelection in 2022.
