Perry is a retired Army National Guard brigadier general who served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012 and chaired the House Freedom Caucus from 2021 to 2023.
Perry earned a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University in 1991 and attended the United States Army War College. A retired Army National Guard brigadier general, Perry served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2012 before entering Congress in 2013.
