Wittman is defending his healthcare and economic record while seeking another term in a competitive Virginia House race.
Robert J. Wittman has represented Virginia’s 1st district in the U.S. House since December 2007. Vice chair of the House Natural Resources Committee; chair of the House Subcommittee on Tactical Air and Land Forces.
Wittman served as mayor from 1992 to 1996 and in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2006 to 2007.
Wittman earned a Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech in 1981, a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1990, and a doctorate from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2002.
