Neil Parrott
Neil Parrott filed to run for Maryland’s 6th district in 2026 and was not on the June 23, 2026 Republican primary ballot.
A former traffic engineer, Parrott served in the state House of Delegates from 2011 to 2023.
Parrott completed studies at Mount St. Mary's University and the University of Maryland, College Park. Parrott was employed as a traffic engineer by the municipal government of Frederick and the Maryland State Highway Administration. Following initial political involvement in 2002, Parrott entered the state House of Delegates after winning election in 2010. Parrott served District 2B between 2011 and 2015, then represented District 2A through 2023. During legislative service, Parrott organized petition drives challenging laws on same-sex marriage and tuition for undocumented students, measures voters upheld. Parrott campaigned for a U.S. House seat representing Maryland's sixth congressional district in 2020, 2022, and 2024.
