Rice served as Nassau County district attorney from 2005 to 2014 before serving in the U.S. House from 2015 to 2023.
Rice earned a bachelor's degree from the Catholic University of America in 1987 and a law degree from Touro Law Center in 1991. Rice worked as an assistant district attorney in Kings County and a federal prosecutor in Philadelphia before serving as Nassau County district attorney from 2005 to 2014.
