Senator Hickenlooper introduced bipartisan legislation to expand next-generation geothermal energy technology throughout the United States.
John W. Hickenlooper has represented Colorado in the U.S. Senate since 2021. Ranking member of two Senate subcommittees: Employment and Workplace Safety; and Consumer Protection, Technology, and Data Privacy.
Hickenlooper worked as a petroleum geologist and served as Denver mayor from 2003 to 2011 and Colorado governor from 2011 to 2019.
Hickenlooper graduated from Wesleyan University and worked as a petroleum geologist before co-founding a brewing company in 1988. Hickenlooper served as Denver mayor from 2003 to 2011 and Colorado governor from 2011 to 2019.
