Donald G. Davis has represented North Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. House since 2023. Ranking member of the House Subcommittee on Commodity Markets, Digital Assets, and Rural Development.
A former Air Force officer, Davis served as mayor of Snow Hill from 2001 to 2008 and in the North Carolina Senate from 2009 to 2011 and 2013 to 2023.
Davis earned a Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy in 1994, a Master of Science from Central Michigan University in 1997, a Master of Arts from East Carolina University in 2001, and a Doctor of Education from East Carolina University in 2007. After graduating from the Air Force Academy, Davis served eight years in the Air Force and later taught at East Carolina University. Davis served as mayor of Snow Hill from 2001 to 2008, then represented the 5th district in the North Carolina Senate from 2009 to 2011 and 2013 to 2023.
