Deb Fischer has represented Nebraska in the U.S. Senate since 2013. Chair of three Senate subcommittees: Legislative Branch, Strategic Forces, and Telecommunications and Media.
Before entering federal office, Fischer served on the Valentine Rural High School board from 1990 to 2004 and in the Nebraska Legislature from 2005 to 2013.
Fischer earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1988. From 1990 to 2004, Fischer served on the board responsible for Valentine Rural High School.
