Colin Z. Allred
Colin Z. Allred is the Democratic nominee for Texas’s 33rd district in the November 3, 2026 election, against Patrick Gillespie (R). Previously represented Texas in Congress from 2019 to 2025.
A former professional football linebacker and civil rights lawyer, Allred served in the U.S. House from 2019 to 2025.
Allred earned a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in 2005 and a law degree from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2014. Before entering public office, Allred played professional football as a linebacker and worked as a lawyer. Allred held positions at the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Executive Office for United States Attorneys during the Obama administration.
