Donald Trump withdrew his endorsement of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and urged a primary challenge, deepening a public rift over her criticism of his foreign-policy focus and the handling of Jeffrey Epstein records. Greene said she serves her district and the American people, not Trump.
Trump said on social media on Nov. 14 that he would no longer endorse Greene and encouraged someone to challenge her in Georgia’s 2026 Republican primary. Greene had criticized Trump’s attention to foreign policy and said she was trying to force a House vote to release government records on Jeffrey Epstein. She shared messages she had sent Trump and said the records dispute may have prompted his response.
Trump said their split began months earlier after he showed Greene a poll about her prospects in a Georgia Senate race. Greene said she serves her district and the American people, and the following day called for political disagreements to coexist with mutual respect. The dispute followed Greene’s criticism of House Republican leadership during the government shutdown and of Trump’s focus on foreign policy.
