Bernie Sanders and John Fetterman traded criticism over Sanders’ support for Graham Platner, who withdrew from Maine’s Senate race after a rape allegation he denied. Sanders also argued that Fetterman was out of step with Pennsylvania Democrats and Americans on Israel and other issues.
On “Meet the Press,” Sanders called Fetterman “way out of touch” and cited a Quinnipiac survey in which 19% of Pennsylvania Democrats approved of Fetterman’s job performance and 69% disapproved. Sanders also criticized Fetterman’s positions on Israel and other issues.
