Three Democrats vie for the chance to take on U.S. Rep. Gabe Evans

Credibility rates Eptrail, which carries this article. The other scores rate the article itself. Eptrail has no rated stories yet; this is the rating of The Denver Post's copy.

The article draws on candidate interviews, an election analyst, a political science professor, reported financial figures and cited government and news reports. It gives the candidates room to state and answer criticisms, though much of the policy discussion relies on their competing claims and offers limited independent verification.

The article includes all three Democratic contenders, Evans, and outside analysts, and presents opposing accounts on immigration, crime and tariffs. Some claims receive more detail than independent scrutiny, and the story focuses on campaign perspectives rather than a full assessment of policy effects.

• ▸Source diversity — Candidates from both parties and two outside political observers are quoted.

• ▸Loaded language — Most evaluative phrases appear in attributed quotations.

The article uses a conventional election-preview frame, attributes criticisms and defenses to candidates, and does not clearly endorse either party or candidate.

• ▸Language tone — Mostly neutral, attributed language rather than editorial judgment.
• ▸Source selection — Includes the Democratic contenders, Evans and outside political observers.
• ▸Framing — Frames the story as a competitive race and compares candidates’ positions.
