Steve Womack is a former Army National Guard colonel who brings military experience and fiscal conservative principles to Congress. Before his election in 2010, he served as mayor of Rogers, Arkansas, where he focused on economic development and government efficiency. As a member of the House Appropriations Committee, Womack has been a vocal advocate for reducing federal spending and eliminating wasteful government programs. He represents a solidly Republican district in northwest Arkansas that includes Fayetteville and Fort Smith.
