Fry was born in Surfside Beach, South Carolina, and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in 2007. Fry later earned a Juris Doctor from the Charleston School of Law in 2011 and worked as a lawyer. Fry served in the South Carolina House of Representatives representing the 106th District from 2015 to 2022.
