Mike Ezell has represented Mississippi’s 4th district in the U.S. House since 2023. Chair of the House Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation; vice chair of the House Subcommittee on Water, Wildlife and Fisheries.
Ezell began a law enforcement career in 1980 and served as Jackson County sheriff from 2014 to 2022.
Ezell earned a criminal justice degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1997. Ezell began work as a patrol officer in 1980 and held leadership roles in the Pascagoula and Ocean Springs police departments and the district attorney’s office.
