Miller-Meeks earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University in 1976, a Master of Science from the University of Southern California in 1980, and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1986. A physician, Miller-Meeks ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. House in 2008, 2010, and 2014, then won a House seat in 2020.
