John K. Delaney
John K. Delaney represented Maryland’s 6th district in the U.S. House from 2013 to 2019.
Delaney was an attorney and financial-services executive before serving in the U.S. House from 2013 to 2019.
Delaney earned a Bachelor of Science from Columbia University in 1985 and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 1988. Before entering public office, Delaney worked as an attorney and founded HealthCare Financial Partners and CapitalSource by 2003. Delaney stepped down as CapitalSource’s chairman and chief executive in 2012, then represented Maryland’s 6th congressional district from 2013 to 2019.
