Kiggans is a former U.S. Navy helicopter pilot and geriatric nurse practitioner who served in the Virginia Senate from 2020 to 2022.
Kiggans earned a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University in 1993, then served as a U.S. Navy helicopter pilot. Kiggans earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Old Dominion University in 2011 and a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing in 2012, and worked as a geriatric nurse practitioner.
