Emilia Strong Sykes has represented Ohio’s 13th district in the U.S. House since 2023. Ranking member of the House Subcommittee on Investigations and Oversight.
Sykes served in the Ohio House of Representatives from 2015 to 2022 and was the chamber’s minority leader from 2019 to 2021.
Sykes earned a Bachelor of Arts from Kent State University in 2007, followed by a Juris Doctor from the Fredric G. Levin College of Law and a Master of Public Health from the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions in 2011.
