A. Donald McEachin represented Virginia’s 4th district in the U.S. House from 2017 to 2022.
A lawyer, McEachin served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1996 to 2002 and from 2006 to 2008, then in the Virginia Senate from 2008 to 2017. McEachin was the Democratic nominee for Virginia attorney general in 2001.
McEachin earned a Bachelor of Science from American University in 1982 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1986, and later received a Master of Divinity from Virginia Union University in 2008. A lawyer, McEachin served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 1996 to 2002 and from 2006 to 2008. McEachin was the Democratic nominee for Virginia attorney general in 2001 and lost the election.
