Parents Decide Act
Families, device makers and app developers may need ways to distinguish adult and child users online. The Parents Decide Act would require operating systems to collect users' birth dates and verify the ages of users under 18 through a parent or guardian. It would also let app developers access age-check information and direct the FTC to set privacy, security and parental-control rules.
