  Regular registration closes 28 days before the election, Tue Oct 6, 2026, for online, mail and registration-agent applications (mailed forms must be postmarked on or before Oct 6; forms dated by Oct 6 and received by the county clerk by Fri Oct 9 are also accepted). Same-day registration (with a physical ID and proof of address) is available in person at the county clerk's office from Oct 6 during early voting, at participating early-voting sites (expanded sites open Oct 17; early voting ends Sat Oct 31), and at any polling location in the voter's county on Election Day, Nov 3, 2026 (polls 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.). No time of day is published for the Oct 6 online cutoff.

  Request deadline is a received deadline. Return: received-by deadline 2026-11-03; a postmark does not extend it.

  Receipt deadline only: the completed mailed ballot must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tue Nov 3, 2026 - by mail (return postage prepaid) or delivered to the county clerk's office, a polling place in the county, or a monitored secured container (drop box). An immediate family member or caregiver may hand-deliver it. Postmarks do not extend the deadline.
