  Registration deadline

  Pre-register online by 11:59 p.m. Tue Oct 13, 2026, or with a paper application received (by mail or in person) by 5:00 p.m. Oct 13. After that, register in person with proof of residence when voting before Election Day (in-person absentee from Fri Sept 18; 'early voting' from Fri Oct 16; last day Mon Nov 2) or at your polling place on Election Day, Nov 3 (polls at least 7 a.m.-8 p.m.).

  Last day to request a mail ballot

  Request deadline is a received deadline by 5:00 p.m. (offices must be open until 5:00 p.m.). Return: received-by deadline 2026-11-03; a postmark does not extend it.

  Last day for mail ballots to arrive

  Must be RECEIVED by Election Day (postmarks do not count): by mail or package delivery service by 8:00 p.m. Tue Nov 3, 2026; hand-delivered by the voter or an agent (max 3 voters) to the office that sent the ballot, or its drop box, by 5:00 p.m. Nov 3; agent-delivery ballots (hospitalized etc.) by 8:00 p.m. Not accepted at polling places. Mail-ballot precincts: may be dropped off at the election office until 8 p.m.
