    Registration deadline

    Pre-registration (online, by mail, or at the county clerk's office) closes Fri Oct 23, 2026, the 11th day before the election: registrations must be received by the county clerk by 5 p.m. local time. After that, eligible voters can register in person, with photo ID and proof of residence, at in-person absentee / early voting locations (Oct 13 - 5 p.m. Oct 30, dates vary by county) or at their polling place on Election Day (8 a.m. - 8 p.m.).

    Last day for mail ballots to arrive

    Voted absentee ballots must be received by the county clerk by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Nov 3, 2026 - by mail (voter pays postage), official elections drop box, or the county elections office. Postmarks do not count. Hospitalized voters (hospitalized after 5 p.m. Oct 23) may apply for an emergency absentee ballot through 5 p.m. Nov 2.
