Delaware elections

Deadline Saturday, Oct 10, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (the 4th Saturday before the election): online through the Voter Portal; mailed applications postmarked by Oct 10 count; Department of Elections offices are open 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Oct 10 for in-person registration. No same-day registration. (Uniformed/overseas voters: Mon Oct 19.)

Request deadline is a received deadline. In-person application allowed until 2026-11-02. Return: received-by deadline 2026-11-03; a postmark does not extend it. CEIR: Delaware statute requires mail ballots to be distributed no more than 60 days and no less than four days before Election Day, and within three days after the absentee ballots, envelopes, and instructions become available.

The voted ballot must be received at the voter's county Department of Elections main office by 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, Nov 3, 2026 (by mail or delivered); absentee ballots are not accepted at early voting sites or polling places.
