Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act of 2025
- Expands school milk choices: Schools in the National School Lunch Program would have to offer a variety of fluid milk and could offer flavored or unflavored, organic or non-organic whole, reduced-fat, low-fat, fat-free, and lactose-free milk. USDA could not prohibit schools from offering those choices
- Allows parent statements for substitutes: A school would have to provide a fluid-milk substitute for a student whose disability restricts their diet when it receives a written statement from a licensed physician, parent, or legal guardian. The statement must identify the disability and specify the substitute
- Changes saturated-fat calculations: Milk fat in fluid milk provided through the program would not count as saturated fat when measuring whether a meal meets the allowable average saturated-fat content under USDA regulations
