Combating the Lies of Authoritarians in School Systems Act
- Require reports on foreign funds and contracts: Public elementary and secondary schools receiving federal assistance would have to report funds from a foreign source totaling more than $10,000, or contracts with a foreign source worth more than $10,000 in total. The report would be due within 30 days of receiving the funds or entering the contracts
- Identify foreign sources and funding terms: Reports would name the foreign source and its country of origin. For funds, schools would also report the amount and any conditions attached to the funds
- Disclose contract terms to Education Department: For contracts above the threshold, schools would submit the contract’s terms and conditions to the Secretary of Education
