- Create a CBP support-dog pilot: The Department of Homeland Security, through U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), would establish a pilot program to adopt dogs from local animal shelters and train them as support dogs for CBP’s Support Canine Program
- Use dogs for staff support: The dogs would join CBP’s Support Canine Program, whose support dogs are used for grief assistance, trauma mitigation, and morale
- End the pilot after three years: The pilot program would end three years after it is established
