Native American Entrepreneurial Opportunity Act
- Authorizes a Native affairs office: The bill would authorize an Office of Native American Affairs within the Small Business Administration (SBA). The office would build working relationships with Indian tribes and Native Hawaiian organizations and target SBA programs for business development, contracting, and access to capital
- Appoints a Native affairs administrator: The office would be headed by an Assistant Administrator appointed by and reporting to the SBA Administrator. The assistant administrator would provide assistance, develop and promote policies, coordinate with SBA and other federal officials, and help tribes and Native Hawaiian organizations learn about relevant programs at other federal agencies when reasonable
- Provides business assistance and grants: The assistant administrator could provide grants, contracts, cooperative agreements, or other financial assistance to tribes, Native Hawaiian organizations, and qualifying nonprofits governed by their members. The assistance could support training, counseling, workshops, outreach, supplier events, and access to SBA programs
