Continuing Appropriations, Agriculture, Legislative Branch, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Extensions Act, 2026
- Keeps most agencies funded temporarily: Provides most federal agencies with FY2026 funding at generally FY2025 levels through January 30, 2026, or until the applicable annual appropriations law takes effect. It also provides for federal employee back pay and limits certain new or accelerated activities during the temporary funding period
- Funds agriculture, Congress, and veterans affairs: Provides FY2026 appropriations through the end of the fiscal year for agriculture and related agencies, the legislative branch, and military construction, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and related agencies. The agriculture funding covers programs including SNAP, WIC, rural development, and the Food and Drug Administration
- Extends farm programs and authorities: Extends many programs and authorities under the 2018 farm bill, generally until the later of September 30, 2026, or a date specified for the program. It also changes the federal definition of hemp, including by counting total THC rather than delta-9 THC alone and excluding certain hemp-derived cannabinoid products
