District of Columbia Electronic Transmittal of Legislation Act

  • Allow electronic submission of D.C. acts: The Chairman of the D.C. Council may choose the form for sending Council Acts to Congress, including electronic form. The bill also allows electronic submission of Acts that amend the D.C. Charter
  • Treat electronic submissions like paper: The House and Senate would treat an Act sent electronically as having been transmitted or submitted in the same manner as one sent on paper. This rule applies to each chamber’s procedures for handling those Acts
