Overturning the IRS rule on digital asset broker reporting

  • Nullifies the DeFi reporting rule: The law disapproves the IRS rule titled "Gross Proceeds Reporting by Brokers That Regularly Provide Services Effectuating Digital Asset Sales," so the rule has no force or effect. The rule would have required persons effectuating decentralized finance transactions to report certain information about digital asset sales to the IRS
