Repealing Big Brother Overreach Act

  • Limit reporting to foreign ownership: The reported text narrows beneficial-ownership reporting to foreign individuals and entities formed under foreign law and registered to do business in the United States. Domestic companies would no longer be covered by the reporting-company definition
  • Delete certain ownership records: Within 90 days after enactment, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network must delete collected beneficial-ownership information about individuals who are not foreign beneficial owners and entities that are not reporting companies
