The resolution would welcome Armenia as host of the Seventeenth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity, scheduled in Yerevan from October 19 through October 30, 2026.

It would endorse conservation efforts grounded in science, local stewardship, voluntary cooperation and respect for national sovereignty, and support accountability for anyone found responsible for unlawfully destroying protected forests and natural resources in Armenia.
