Currently, many nonprofits receive government funding or private donations to help resettle refugees and other noncitizens, but the exact scale of this private network's involvement is often difficult to track. This bill aims to provide more transparency into how many people are being moved across the country and the extent to which these individuals are being enrolled in taxpayer-funded benefit programs.

If this becomes law, voters and lawmakers would have access to an annual statistical report showing the total impact of nonprofit-led resettlement. If it doesn't pass, these organizations will continue to report their finances without specifically detailing the number of noncitizens they assist or their role in connecting those individuals to federal welfare programs.
