What the bill would do, and why it matters
National memorials provide a place to recognize military service and loss. The bill would require a monument at Arlington National Cemetery honoring the Zeus 95 crew members killed in action. If no appropriate site is available inside the cemetery, it would be placed outside the entrance, with the Air Force covering the costs.
- INTRODUCED ONLY This bill has been introduced and possibly referred to a committee, but it has not passed any vote. Most introduced bills never become law — they die in committee without a hearing.
- DATA NOTE No Congressional Research Service summary was available.
- Places a Zeus 95 monument at Arlington
The Secretary of the Army would have to place a monument honoring the Zeus 95 crew members killed in action on March 12, 2026, in support of Operation Epic Fury. If the Secretary cannot find an appropriate site inside Arlington National Cemetery, the monument would go outside the entrance.
- Requires a design and maintenance agreement
The monument would need a design approved by the Secretaries of the Army and Air Force and would have to be on a non-burial plot. The Army Secretary could place it only after the Air Force Secretary agrees to pay all costs for site preparation, construction, installation and maintenance.
The bill would create a memorial at Arlington National Cemetery for the Zeus 95 crew members killed in action, with a location outside the entrance as a fallback if no suitable site is available inside.
