Rep. Ralph Norman said he would support Sen. Darline Graham, the Republican nominee who defeated him in South Carolina’s special primary runoff. He also criticized the campaign money she received and Lisa Murkowski’s support for her.
Norman said in a Wednesday post on X that he would support Graham in the general election, adding that he respected voters’ choice and that defeating Democrats was a priority. He had previously said he would support her after losing the runoff, and later described her nomination as settled while criticizing her campaign funding and Murkowski’s support for her.
Graham was appointed by Gov. Henry McMaster to fill the Senate vacancy after her brother, Sen. Lindsey Graham, died in July. She defeated Norman in the August special Republican primary runoff. Fox News Digital said Graham’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment and Murkowski’s office declined to comment.
