Rep. Ralph Norman announced he will run for the Senate seat held by Lindsey Graham. Norman said he would focus on President Donald Trump’s legislative agenda, including the SAVE America Act, and said he wants to help eliminate the Senate filibuster. He said Trump’s endorsement of Darline Graham did not deter him from entering the race.
Graham died last Saturday, according to preliminary medical examiner findings, and Gov. Henry McMaster appointed Graham’s sister Darline to serve the remainder of his term. A special Republican primary is scheduled for next month.
