Rep. Ro Khanna defended Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner while condemning reported allegations of intimidation and physical abuse. Khanna said he believed Platner’s ex-girlfriend, but also said he saw no evidence of violence and argued that voters could extend Platner grace.
Khanna made the comments on CBS’s “Face the Nation” after host Margaret Brennan asked about allegations reported by The New York Times. Platner’s ex-girlfriend, Lyndsey Fifield, said he forcibly pulled her from a taxi and later pushed her into a bedroom and held the door shut.
