A man reportedly connected to Jasmine Crockett’s security detail was shot and killed by Dallas police during a standoff after officers said he pointed a gun at them. Reports also said he was wanted for impersonating a police officer.
Dallas police said officers tracked the suspect to a garage at Children’s Medical Center Dallas while investigating an active warrant. Police Chief Daniel Comeaux said officers used tear gas, then shot the man after he came out of a vehicle and pointed a gun at them; Comeaux said the suspect did not fire and no officers were injured.
Law-enforcement sources told Fox 4 that the man had worked as a security guard for Representative Jasmine Crockett.
