GOP lawmaker who posted anti-deportation ad says Trump was 'very receptive' during phone call

Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar said President Trump was receptive when she urged him to reconsider mass deportation policies, which she said could damage his legacy and Republican support among Hispanic voters. She also said she is pursuing immigration legislation combining stricter enforcement with a path to legal residency for some immigrants brought to the U.S. as children.
