Rep. Jimmy Patronis said Jelly Roll was not welcome in Florida’s Panhandle after the musician joked about President Donald Trump. House candidate Gay Valimont, Patronis’s opponent, responded by inviting the singer to visit.
During a guest-hosting appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” Jelly Roll joked about Trump’s weight, approval rating and Washington, D.C., IndyCar race. Patronis responded on X, saying the singer was not welcome in the Panhandle and criticizing his music and politics.
Valimont, Patronis’s opponent in the November election for Florida’s 1st Congressional District, posted an invitation for Jelly Roll to visit, saying the Panhandle belongs to everyone.
