Darline Graham and Ralph Norman advanced from a 10-candidate Republican primary to an Aug. 25 runoff for South Carolina’s U.S. Senate seat, which became vacant after Lindsey Graham’s death. Darline Graham led the field, with President Donald Trump’s backing.
Darline Graham and Ralph Norman advanced to the runoff in the special Republican primary to replace the late Lindsey Graham. Darline Graham was the top vote-getter in a 10-candidate field, and the runoff is scheduled for Aug. 25. Gov. Henry McMaster appointed her to serve the remainder of her brother’s term; she later campaigned for the seat and received Trump’s endorsement.
