US Senate committee advances Bycatch Reduction Act

The Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee advanced Dan Sullivan’s Bycatch Reduction Act. The revised bill would set standards for trawl gear, limit seafloor contact, and require monitoring equipment and salmon excluder devices.
