Bill would cut wait times for Social Security disability, Medicare payments

Sen. Andy Kim introduced the Stop the Wait Act, which would phase out the Social Security disability benefits waiting period and eliminate the wait for Medicare disability benefits. Kim cited data showing that more than 100,000 people died while awaiting a final disability benefits decision.
